Ticketmaster Hit With Class Action Lawsuit Over Doubling Drake Ticket Prices

Los Angeles will have the chance to see Drake not once, not twice, not three times — but four times! That’s right, L.A.! Drake will perform four Los Angeles tour dates at the Kia Forum on August 12 and 13, and Crypto.com Arena on August 21 and 22, 2023.

Drake’s upcoming tour, “It’s All A Blur, ” marks his return to touring since headlining the Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour in 2018. The tour’s title celebrates the last decade and embodies Drake’s sentiment of his unprecedented success, as he prepares to hit the road once again. Over the past five years, Drake has released four albums, including his latest studio album, “Her Loss, ” a collaboration with 21 Savage that debuted at number one on Billboard’s 200 chart, with all 16 songs making an appearance on Billboard’s Hot 100 list.

Tickets to Drake and 21 Savage will go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 17 at 10am local time, but as always, there are a variety of Drake presales you can take part in if you would like ot get tickets early. Drake Reschedules Two Dates For Tour With 21 Savage

Tickets to Drake’s 2023 tour cost $137 to $495+ for standard general admission tickets (give or take depending on you city / venue). That price changes to $173 to $869+ when you add services fees and on top of those service fees, an additional “order processing fee of up to $6 may be added to each order.”

Consdiering Drake and his camp didn’t do away with dynamic pricing or official platinum tickets for his tour, unlike The Cure (who made sure there would be no dynamic pricing and ticket prices would be fair and assesible for fans), it speakes to the artist when they list their starting ticket price at $140. Even Beyonce had more affordable nose-bleed ticket prices ($76).

We’d also like to note that it’s the artist that sets the ticket face value price. Also, recent legislation called the FAIR Ticketing Act now grant artists the ability to ban scalper websites from reselling their tour tickets. Artists also have the option to not allow “dynamic pricing” or “official platinum” tickets sales. Unlike The Cure, it appears Drake and his camp did not choose these options that make buying concert tickets a more fair experience, and more finanically accessbile to your average concert-goer. With service fees, Drake’s starting ticket price for his upcoming tour cost $171 (give or take). And don’t forget that aforementioned “processing fee.”

Presale tickets to Drake will be available starting with Cash App Card and Sprite presales (details below) beginning Wednesday, March 15. Drake’s Cash App Card presale will kick off Wednesday, March 15 starting at 12pm local time through Thursday, March 16 at 10pm. To jump on this presale, select the Drak tour date you want to attend, and then enter the first 9 digits of your Cash Card into the passcode box on the ticket tour date page. You must also use your Cash Card at checkout.

Drake Adds 12 Dates To Summer 2023 'it's All A Blur' Tour

For those that don’t use the Cash App, you can take part in Sprite’s Drake presale opportunity. Sprite is the official beverage sponsor for Drake’s ‘It’s All A Blur Tour.’ This presale will begin on Thursday, March 16 starting at 12pm local time through Thursday, March 16 at 10pm (or until this presale code sells out).

If you’re seeing very expensive tickets that are not VIP, those are official platinum tickets. These tickets are very expensive and are offered well over the standard ticket prices. They’re the kind of ticket pricing that is unfair to fans. The Event Organizer(s) has priced these tickets according to their market value (aka dynamic pricing). In other words, ticket pricing can go up or down, and it usually goes up.

Official platinum tickets do not include VIP packages. The only positive thing about them is they make buying floor or front-row tickets to a high-demand concert very easy if you’re willing to shed the extra coin. They can be bought during a presale without a presale code (doesn’t always apply to Verified Fan). Availability and pricing for official platinum tickets are subject to change based on demand.

Drake Fans Balk At Toronto Presale Ticket Prices

First, on the day of the presale or general onsale (whichever you prefer), login to your Ticketmaster account (go to my account or sign in located on the upper right corner of the page) at least 10 minutes ahead of the sale time. If you don’t have one,  create one now.

Be sure to add your billing info (aka credit card info) for a quick check-out. Once the presale starts, remain in the digital queue. Only use one browser window because using multiple browsers or devices, and multiple accounts with the same phone number can result in errors.

If tickets sell out, your other option is to buy them online via online resellers like VividSeats or StubHub. When all else fails, we prefer these resell options because both offer a 100% Guarantee.
